Dr Ryan Frazer
Director Clinical Training, Mater Education
Working as a specialist in emergency medicine drives Ryan’s passion for immersive simulation education.
His role as Mater Education Director of Clinical Training is combined with a position as Staff Specialist in the Mater Emergency Department.
Ryan joined the Mater Education team in 2017 as a Simulation Fellow and his background in acute care, trauma, and retrieval medicine helps inform the development of simulation training programs for junior doctors to bridge the gap between theory and practice in challenging and fast-paced medical environments.
In 2017 he completed a Certificate of Teaching and Learning in Simulation through Boston’s MGH Institute of Health Professionals.
Ryan is also involved in the delivery of a number of junior doctor-focused workshops which address issues such as CV development and interview preparation, advance training planning, and guiding senior clinicians on effective supervision and assessment of junior doctors.
