Mater Education steps up the fundraising pace

Sunday 3 March marked the 28th RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run.
Joining the 13 000 strong sea of pink who hit the streets of Brisbane was Mater Education’s dedicated team of 26. 



Training the Australian Defence Force ahead of deployment

Recently the Mater Education team delivered a venepuncture training and skin puncture procedure program with a small group from the Australia Defence Force (ADF) ahead of their deployment to Papua New Guinea. 


Australian-first midwifery and neonatal nursing refresher programs now available

Following the success of Mater Education's Nursing Refresher program, Mater Education is excited to offer two more refresher programs – for registered midwives and neonatal nurses wishing to reignite their careers.


Mater's medical education program in the spotlight at ANZPMEF

Late last year, Dr Ryan Frazer, Director of Clinical Training and Olivia Paton, Medical Education and Workforce Manager presented at the 2018 Australian and New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum (ANZPMEF) in Melbourne. 


Education improves engagement of phone interpreters

Mater has an increasing culturally and linguistically diverse patient cohort and provides approximately 18 000 occasions of interpreting services each year for patients with limited English proficiency.
