Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

HLTAID009

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a vital first aid skill that can save lives in a range of emergency situations. Mater Education offers the nationally recognised Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate course, delivered by our team of expert instructors who have built their skills in the demanding and fast-paced hospital environment. The course arms participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to administer CPR on adults, children and infants and covers automated external defibrillator (AED) training, in-line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Who should attend?

Our Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course is designed for anyone looking to learn resuscitation skills or gain or renew a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate. This includes businesses requiring personnel trained in CPR, school employees, childcare centre employees, sporting organisation personnel and trainers, and high school students .

Course information

  • As a vital component of first aid, knowing how to perform CPR is crucial for healthcare workers and many other professionals. From near drownings to cardiac arrests, CPR can potentially be lifesaving in a range of emergency situations.

The end of course assessment will include a mix of multiple-choice questions, role play and physically demonstrating CPR using a model of the human body (resuscitation manikin).

You must be able to demonstrate uninterrupted CPR on adult, child and infant resuscitation manikins placed on the floor. So, you should wear comfortable clothing when attending the course.
