Clinical Skills Refresher Workshop

Are you a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse wanting to refresh or hone your clinical skills? Are you studying nursing and would like to fast-track your learning? The Mater Education Clinical Skills Refresher workshop has been purpose-designed to help you achieve this.

Under the instruction of our team of highly trained clinical facilitators and educators, you will participate in a series of simulation training exercises, work through technique-honing skill stations and put theory into practice as you learn to manage a range of clinical scenarios.

Key topics covered in the workshop include:

• interpreting vital signs
• documentation and interpretation of Q-ADDS charts
• pain assessment
• medication safety and administration
• intravenous infusions and infusion pump
• wounds
• IDC management.

The workshop is also a great opportunity to increase preparedness for stepping into a new nursing role.
