Maternity Emergency Management Essentials

This interactive workshop will provide participants with the theoretical understanding and skills required to manage common obstetric emergencies, including:

  • Post partum haemorrhage
  • Fetal bradycardia
  • Cord prolapse
  • Shoulder dystocia
  • Unexpected vaginal breech birth
  • Severe pre-eclampsia and eclampsia

Participants will work through small group activities, case discussions and practical skills stations, and have the opportunity to apply their new knowledge and skills in a supportive, simulated environment.

Part one will cover non-haemorrhagic emergencies, including:
