Postnatal Care

In this program, participants will refresh and update their theoretical and practical knowledge in caring for postnatal patients and their newborns. They will have the opportunity to practice foundational postnatal skills - such as pain management, breast feeding support, newborn care, caesarean recovery and more in a confidential and safe environment under the guidance of clinical experts.

  • Medical Officers
  • Enrolled Nurses working in maternity care
Course structure & assessment

Interprofessional clinical experts will present evidence-based information on the practical aspects of care and management of postnatal patients and their newborn.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Bladder management
  • Enhanced recovery after caesarean section
  • Wound management
  • Postpartum pain management
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Newborn care
Learning outcome & accreditation

Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate of Participation.

You may be able to self-allocate 7 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours/points with your professional college or association, as per their CPD requirements.
