Self-directed theoretical learning (approx. 16 hours)
You will be given access to online materials and resources to conduct all theoretical learning. This can be studies at your own pace, however it must be completed prior to the practical workshops.

To consolidate your theoretical learning, you will attend a two-day workshop to practice your skills in simulation and complete competency assessments before undertaking clinical placement.
- Workshop one: Monday 23 September
- Workshop two: Wednesday 25 September
: Simulation of caring for a mother and neonate (assessed in final workshop)
You will then undertake 80 hours of supervised clinical placement in Mater Mothers' Hospital during the applicable period: 30 September – 1 November.
