Mater Education’s Medical Reception course has been developed to deliver skills that will open doors to a range of roles in medical administration and reception.
The course is taught by industry experts and uses the latest technology, facilities and medical terminology to ensure graduates leave empowered and competent, with training in functions such as maintaining patient records, preparing and processing medical accounts and managing patient record systems.
Graduates of the course will be able to work confidently in the following roles:
- medical receptionist (for both public and private practices)
- ward clerk in hospital, nursing home and assisted living settings
On successful completion of the course participants receive a Certificate of Attendance.
During this three day course, participants will learn the fundamental skills to perform medical receptionist and administration tasks. This includes:
- Basic medical terminology
- Software system exposure
- Basic presentation skills
- Customer service skills
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
The course is delivered in three full-day workshops (8.15 am – 3.30 pm). Course delivery includes online learning for independent study.
The course may be held over three consecutive days.

On enrolment and prior to attending your selected course Mater Education will provide you with online course materials via our Learning Management System.
Should you change your mind prior to commencing the program (i.e. you do not access the course materials), a full refund will apply less a $35 administration fee.
If you access the course material at any time and then change your mind, Mater Education is not obliged to provide you with a refund.
