NOVICE (obstetrics and gynaecology)

NOVICE (Novice Obstetrics and Gynaecology Prevocational Interactive Clinical Education) is a customised Mater Education program developed for junior doctors wanting to specialise in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.

This intensive course harnesses Mater Education’s expertise in simulation training, giving participants the opportunity to step through a number of common obstetrics and gynaecology procedures and get a head start on their skills development.

Created by Mater Education in conjunction with the Mater Mothers’ Hospital obstetrics and gynaecology department the course content responds to demand for more ‘hands-on’ training from Resident Medical Officers who often feel they aren’t given the opportunity to complete common procedures in their initial years of obstetrics and gynaecology training.

Who should attend?

Our NOVICE course is designed for healthcare professionals who want to improve their skills in obstetrics and gynaecology procedures. This includes resident medical officers, principle house officers, and junior registrars.
