Rod Camm

Rod has over 30 years experience in policy development and tertiary education. He has operated at the executive and CEO level for over 25 years leading Government agencies, Statutory Bodies, Government Owned Corporations and private sector organisations. This experience encompasses developing, leading and advocating public policy change from the perspective of government, the private sector and a national research organisation. He also has significant experience in leading the reform and reinvigoration of organisations in both the public and private sector.
 
Having now worked in both the higher education and vocational education and training sectors for many years, he has developed expertise across many aspects of industry led programs.
 
Rod is recognised for leadership across the Vocational Education and Training system. As the Managing Director of Australia’s National Centre for Vocational Education Research, Rod actively engaged with the OECD, UNESCO and was Australia’s VET representative on the G20 Human Capital Taskforce.
Rod is a Fellow of the AICD and has experience on key economic, policy and reform bodies including the National Resources Sector Taskforce, the Queensland Premier's Jobs Squad and other ministerial and industry taskforces. He was the sole VET representative appointed to the G20 Human Capital Taskforce, was appointed to the Commonwealth Ministerial Expert Panel of VET Reform, and was a member of the Ministerial Advisory Council for Skilled Migration and the National VET CEOs’ Committee.
 
Rod has been the CEO of high level organisations including the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET), Skills Queensland and Construction skills Queensland
