Mater Education has been affiliated with The Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) for the last three years. During this time has formed a strong, collaborative working relationship that benefits both staff and patients.
As the Center for Medical Simulation’s only Affiliate in Australia, Mater Education has signed a new agreement for the next five years, with an exclusive level of access to resources, skills, advice and experience from a team of international leaders in the field of simulation.
Dr Robert Simon, Senior Director, Educational Leadership & International Programs, Center for Medical Simulation said,” Mater has the opportunity to continue its advancement as a leader in the field of simulation over the next five years and we are delighted to continue the relationship. We have many common goals and a shared vision to do Good Work.
“It’s exciting to be continuing our work and it’s important we keep increasing our offerings to penetrate new areas of the Mater, to serve Queensland and Australia,” Dr Simon said.
The agreement has seen Mater Education further enhance its world-class offerings in medical simulation studies, co-author publications and provides numerous ongoing professional development and training opportunities for staff.
Mater Education CEO, Donna Bonney, said the Affiliation is based on mutual respect and an unwavering commitment and passion for using simulation to enhance the education of clinicians and improve patient safety.
