A new wave of students starting their healthcare placement

In the healthcare industry, nothing compares to hands-on, real life experience. That’s why, as early as Semester one, Mater Education coordinates personalised placement experiences for our students, to give them the best start to their career.

Mater Education have dedicated placement coordinators who have facilitated more than 250 000 hours of clinical placement for students over the last two years. Across each of our courses, we organise opportunities in maternity, aged care, palliative care, mental health, intensive care, clinical care, orthopaedics and more.

One of the main advantages of studying with Mater Education is our ability to leverage off our network of hospitals Queensland-wide, along with our our deeply engrained, and longstanding partnerships with healthcare providers. This allows us to offer specific and personalised placement experiences to our students.

Our placement opportunities spread far and wide and are not limited to location – with one of our students even completing her placement on Thursday Island!
