Helping students from all walks of life achieve their healthcare dreams

News

Mater Education is proud to offer rare scholarship opportunities for students identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, those with refugee backgrounds as well as those facing financial hardship. These students have a history of overcoming obstacles life has thrown at them and demonstrate commitment and compassion, all of which are essential skills when pursuing a rewarding career in healthcare.

The Honourable Di Farmer, Minister for Employment, Small Business, Training and Skills Development, joined our Brisbane Diploma of Nursing Graduation celebrations on Tuesday and had the opportunity to speak to two of our graduating scholarship students, Fatima and Paula. These students completed their 18 month Diploma of Nursing program with Mater Education on a Financial Hardship and Refugee scholarship, and we're thrilled to have watched them graduate this week as Enrolled Nurses.

It was a privilege to provide our graduates with the opportunity to speak with the Minister about their plans after graduation, as well as hear about her family's history as healthcare workers and her passion for providing students with opportunities in Education.

At Mater Education, we're here to support you and help make your dream a reality. If you, or someone you know, are eager to undertake the Diploma of Nursing in 2022 and would like to speak to the team about scholarship opportunities, get in touch today on 1300 070 350.
