Chantelle’s dream come true

News

Enrolling to study a Diploma of Nursing with Mater Education was one of the best things Chantelle has ever done.

Since she was a little girl Chantelle has always had a passion for caring for people and as she grew older her passion became stronger.

Having been through health issues at a young age, Chantelle knew what it was like to be a hospital patient and how distressing and difficult it can be.

After completing high school, Chantelle enrolled in a Bachelor of Registered Nursing at university and embarked on a career in aged care as an Assistant in Nursing to kick start her career and help her get a foot in the door.

However, one year down the line things weren’t working out quite as Chantelle had hoped. She decided to drop out of university after realising that the university education pathway wasn’t for her.

“I took a break and refocused on my passion for nursing and chose to study a Diploma of Nursing with Mater Education,” Chantelle said.

“I viewed Mater Education as an exciting and hands-on opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills in a different pathway other than university.”

For Chantelle learning in a hospital-based campus was an incredibly valuable experience and it was the best learning environment for her.

“Coming into Mater hospital every day kept me motivated as I was studying in the environment I eventually wanted to work in. The Diploma of Nursing at Mater Education provided me with the foundation for my journey as a nursing professional and it will allow me to excel in my career.”

Chantelle’s study experience with Mater Education was a dream come true. She found being educated and surrounded by real medical professionals who shared the same joy and passion as she did made it an exciting and nurturing learning environment.

“Mater Education helped me see my potential and believe in myself. I can’t believe how far I’ve come in three semesters, and I will forever be grateful for Mater Education’s endless support.”

Chantelle now plans to work as an Enrolled Nurse and gain experience and a solid foundation in nursing before going on to complete her Bachelor of Registered Nursing.
